Juneberry Muffins

🧁 Juneberry Muffins: Moist, Nutty & Full of Local Flavor

These Juneberry Muffins are everything you want in a springtime bake — soft, lightly sweet, and bursting with the unique flavor of native juneberries. With a hint of almond and a moist crumb, they make a nourishing breakfast or snack that celebrates the earliest harvests from the orchard.

Fun fact: Amelanchier berries, also known as serviceberries or saskatoons, have a natural almond-like note thanks to their seeds. They’re also impressively nutritious — packed with protein, fiber, and manganese, making them a fantastic choice for heart-healthy baking.

At Dee’s Nutz and Berries in Brodhead, WI, our juneberry bushes will begin producing harvests in the next few years, and we plan to offer treats like these muffins during events starting in 2028. Check our event calendar or sign up below to be the first to taste our orchard-inspired baked goods.

🍁 From the Orchard Tip

  • These muffins are even better the next day — store in an airtight container overnight for deeper flavor.
  • You can freeze extras and reheat gently in the oven or toaster.
  • Add a crumble topping of oats, brown sugar, and butter if you’d like extra texture.
