Naturally Sweet and Creamy
Enjoy the naturally sweet, tropical flavor of pawpaw—often described as a blend of banana, mango, and vanilla. Its creamy, custard-like texture makes it a delicious treat on its own. Plus, it’s perfect for blending into smoothies, baking into quick breads, or even scooping straight from the skin.

Rich in Vitamin C
Pawpaw offers more Vitamin C per serving than an apple, making it a great choice for boosting your immune system. In fact, one serving provides nearly as much Vitamin C as an orange—without the tartness.
Nature’s Powerful Protection
Pawpaw fruit is packed with antioxidants that help defend your body at the cellular level. Similar to berries and grapes, these natural compounds support long-term wellness while delivering creamy, tropical flavor in every bite.

Every Week Tastes Different: From First Ripe to Final Frost
The season for Pawpaw U-Pick is short and shifts each year—typically running from late August through early October. Because pawpaws ripen quickly and don’t store well, planning your visit is important. But here’s a tip: stop early, and stop often! Each variety offers its own flavor and texture, so the best way to find your favorite is to try them all.
🌿 August
Early varieties like ‘Shenandoah’ and ‘NC-1’ start to ripen by mid to late August. These tend to be smooth, mild, and sweet—perfect for first-timers.
🌿 September
September is peak season, with abundant mid-season varieties like ‘Overleese’ and ‘Sunflower’. These fruits are rich, complex, and often described as tropical custard.
🌿 October
If weather allows, late-ripening types like ‘Susquehanna’ and ‘Allegheny’ may linger into early October. They’re dense, creamy, and flavorful—worth coming back for.
Don’t Miss a Single Bite
Every pawpaw variety has its own personality—some are silky and mild, others rich and custardy. The best way to discover your favorite? Taste them all as the season unfolds. 🍽️
